Artemis Rising Invisible War Recovery Program

 In collaboration with Partnerships For Change®, a 501 c(3) organization, longtime activist-philanthropist and THE INVISIBLE WAR executive producer Regina Kulik Scully has launched a groundbreaking trauma recovery program. The Artemis Rising Invisible War Recovery Program embraces her passion for new, non-pharmaceutical healing modalities in trauma treatment and recovery.

The film, THE INVISIBLE WAR, was the inspiration behind the development of this intensive residential program for survivors of Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The first 14-day pilot program took place at a residential treatment facility in Santa Barbara, CA in February this year. Some of the survivors who bravely came forward to share their stories in THE INVISIBLE WAR participated in the program. The second pilot program is scheduled for June 2013.

The Artemis Rising Invisible War Recovery Program has been designed by an extraordinary team of leading trauma therapists to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress that occur after experiencing MST, such as: hypervigiliance, nightmares, depression, and anxiety.  This unique residential program is the first of its kind to specifically treat MST, and combines a variety of non-pharmaceutical treatment modalities, such as: individual psychotherapy, EMDR, somatic therapy, group and family therapy, dance/movement therapy, and equine therapy.

A Stanford and National Center for PTSD trained independent researcher has also been engaged to collect clinical data before, during, and after the treatment to assess the program's success in reducing the symptoms of trauma.  The researchers will follow up with the survivors at 3, 6 and 12 months post treatment to look at the long term results of the treatment.

Should the pilot programs prove successful, the goal is to scale nationally to reach as many survivors as possible. The ultimate hope is for this initiative to sustain itself through individual donations - both small and large, corporate philanthropic gifts and government funding. 100% of all donations made through the Artemis Rising Invisible War Recovery Program fiscal sponsor, Partnerships For Change®, will be utilized in the recovery program.
